We had our very first Meet Up in October 2021 with four amazing contributors from the USA, Austria, Sweden and Scotland.
First up was Glenn Page from Sustainamatrix in Maine in the USA. Glenn has 30 years of experience building bioregional and ecosystem stewardship across the world. He led an amazing International Bioregional Learning Workshop that we joined last winter and he has his fingers on the pulse of what is happening Bioregionally across the world:
Professor Illona Otto from the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change, University of Graz, Austria then shared the headlines from her work on Social Tipping Dynamics for stabilising Earth’s climate by 2050:

Dr. Avit K. Bhowmik from the Centre for Sustainable Societal Transfromation at Karlstad University,Sweden then spoke about his work and how our Bioreigon might become a ‘sweetspot’ for climate action:

Dr Hannah Rudman, from the Scottish Conservation Finance Pioneers Group & Senior Challenge Research Fellow & Data Policy Lead for the SRUC here in Scotland, then gave us the main headlines on how the financing of Nature Based Solutions is shaping up in Scotland, the key challenges and opportunities that this will bring to different interest groups involved in Bioregioning Tayside, including for community-led initiatives, how and when new funding streams might become available and how we can prepare:
