The garden is a beautiful and peaceful place, established in 2015 for people to enjoy as visitors, or by joining as a volunteer. Our sheltered walled garden sits upon the site of an old brewery, with the original well still in situ. In living memory it was a tree nursery and market garden, then lay unused for many years.
It is now a flourishing garden with flower beds, food growing areas and a small woodland to the rear. Promoting health and well being, through gardening and nature based activities, is at the core of what we do. People of all ages and abilites work together to tend this diverse site.
We garden organically, plant to encourage wildlife and are lucky to have a pair of resident red squirrels in the mix!
As an independent charity, we sell plants from the garden to raise essential funds.
We encourage people to spend time in the garden, explore and find one of the many places to sit and relax.
The main garden is fully wheelchair accessible, with toilet facilities.
