Taybank Growers Cooperative

27 February 202429 March 2024 By Donna

We are a small, local workers cooperative based on a community farm. We believe that people should be connected to where their food comes from and be part of the farm community.

We grow using organic, no-dig and agroecological methods. We believe that food can be grown in a way that nourishes people and is good to the planet.

Our produce is high in nutrients because we build healthy living soil. We don’t use any pesticides, buy organic seeds and leave room for wildlife to flourish, so that biodiversity has a place on our farm.

We run a flexible Veg Box scheme and a 24/7 honesty farm shop. We believe that food should be grown in the community it is eaten in to keep food miles are low and to sustain the local economy. Our market garden is a place people come to learn, grow, heal and to celebrate. The community farm we are based on seeks to be an asset to the local community and to facilitate learning, training and social experiences on the farm.
