Community-led Food Growing

We’re in the process of identifying and mapping community-led food growing and production initiatives in Tayside and its fringes to create a publicly accessible map. The long-term aim is to determine what provision exists and identify support required to strengthen the network.

The background of our project originated from the ‘Feeding Tayside Through The Climate Crisis’ conference held in March 2023. The conference identified various interventions, including the need to map community, regenerative, and organic food producers in Tayside. This initiative also aligns with Tayside’s response to The Good Food Nation Act, involving a working group with representatives from diverse stakeholder groups.
